Instagram has recently rolled out an exciting update that grants users the ability to download public Reels. Reels, a popular feature on the platform, enables users to create and share short, entertaining videos. With this new functionality, users can now save and download public Reels directly to their devices for offline viewing or sharing with others. This latest addition by Instagram aims to enhance the user experience and empower individuals to engage more deeply with the content they enjoy. It provides greater flexibility and convenience, as users can access their favorite Reels even when they are not connected to the internet.

On Tuesday, the company’s head Adam Mosseri said on his Instagram broadcast channel thatU.S.-based Users will be able to download Reels to their camera roll. Users can do this by tapping on the share icon and then selecting the Download option. Further he noted that Reels from only public accounts are eligible for download. Plus, public accounts can turn off the ability to download Reels.

This update promises to further enrich the Instagram experience and facilitate greater interaction and enjoyment for the platform’s diverse user base.
